Below is a list of 40+ exhibitions I have curated, commissioned, project-managed, written, picture-researched or otherwise assisted in. They were all for the British Council, with the exception of The Art of Chichester which was a personal project.

Rock Archive: 50 Years of British Rock Photography
2012/13
Conceiver / curator.
British Council touring exhibition to seven cities in China. All photographs sourced from Jill Furmanovsky's Rockarchive, including many taken by her. Also wrote accompanying catalogue.
Tony Cragg: Sculptures and Drawings
2012/13
Co-producer.
Retrospective exhibition, originally curated by my brother Patrick Elliott for Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, and then toured to three cities in China: Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu, from March to Nov 2012.
Whistler in Russia
2006/7
Project manager.
Curated by Margaret Macdonald, for the Tretyakof Gallery, Moscow, from Dec 2006 to Feb 2007.
Antony Gormley Asian Field
2005
Producer.
This was originally conceived in China, after which the 200,000+ clay figures were shipped to Japan for installation in a very large school hall in Roppongi, Tokyo, in association with Mori Art Museum.

British Council exhibition about lighting design. Commissioned for Tokyo, curated by Sorrel Hershberg, British Council, London; toured to a few more countries afterwards.

Space Invaders

Producer.
Exhibition about young, edgy British architects. Also conceived parallel Space Explained talks and Space Invaded concert (Janek Shaeffer, Main, Yoshihide Otomo & Nobukazu Takemura), all presented in Tokyo.
The Dazed Eye

One-off exhibition of Rankin’s photography for Dazed & Confused Magazine. Curated by Rankin.
Dreams & Goals
2002
Conceiver and curator.
Exhibition of photographs of football fans (by Alistair Berg) and goalposts (by Neville Gabie), coinciding with FIFA World Cup 2002 in Japan/Korea. Presented at British Council Tokyo office.
Jam: Tokyo-London

Co-producer.
with Barbican and Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery. Exhibition contrasting & comparing the two cities’ fashion, music, art and design scenes.

Exhibition about the ordinary lives of eight young people from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. For UK/Japan Festival 98, in Tokyo International Forum
Designed by Ben Kelly. Featured very early use of touchscreens.
Hypervisual 1.2: Design in Light

Commissioner / producer.
Exhibition of Chris Levine lightworks for British Council Cairo gallery which later toured to a few other countries.
Accompanied Warp fashion show, also branded by Levine, featuring six young British designers.
Kaleidoscope of Life
1997
Project Manager.
Exhibition with Natural History Museum, London, and Australia Museum, Sydney. Part of New Images Festival. Later toured to Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. Designed by Jasper Jacob Associates.
Yemenis in Britain
1997
Project Manager.
Exhibition tracing the history of Yemenis in Britain. Written & researched by Katharine Meurnier and Tim Mackintosh-Smith, photography by Monica Fritz, designed by Amalgam. Toured to London, Sheffield, Cardiff, Birmingham and Yemen.
Cities of the Future

Project Manager.
Exhibition about city design. Two sets toured to a dozen or so countries, starting in Hong Kong. Curated by Richard Burdett and Jane Priestman; graphic design by Atelier Works and produced by Wordsearch. Photo above is from its first showing in Hong Kong.
